ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Nurse Unit Manager – Special Care Nursery, in a fixed-term part time capacity based at our Fitzroy campus.



Reporting to the Maternity Services Manager, The Nurse Unit Manager – Special Care Nursery will be responsible for the overall management of the Special Care Nursery which is a 12 bed unit caring for babies of 32 weeks gestation and above.



The role of the Nurse Unit Manager – Special Care Nursery is to ensure clinical outcomes meet exceptional care standards whilst maximising effective business opportunities within this area, ensuring that the philosophy and values of St Vincent’s Private Hospital are inherent in the delivery of health care service.


This role will be fixed-term part time working 24 hours per fortnight with flexibility for shift time frame of either 8 or 12 hours and will be pivotal in providing holistic care to the families whose babies are admitted to the SCN.

ABOUT YOU:
As an outstanding leader you are a master that will drive clinical team performance in creating safe SCN care, whilst working collaboratively with the Maternity department to focus on family centred care .

Your skills will include:

  • Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse/ Registered Midwife
  • Tertiary qualification in nursing, health related or management discipline
  • Management experience in an obstetrics area, ideally SCN
  • Current advanced clinical knowledge and experience in relevant specialty
  • Portfolio management in National Safety and Quality health care standards
